Cooee’s Community Guidelines & Terms of Use Overview

By using Cooee, you agree to follow our Terms of Use and Community Guidelines, which clearly outline your rights and responsibilities as a platform user. Cooee provides tools to help creators build and manage successful channels for courses, events, and resources.

Channel Admin Responsibilities

Managing Your Channel

As a Channel Admin on Cooee, you are the primary owner of any channels you create. Primary owners control all aspects of their channels, including content management and user access. Only primary owners can delete channels or regain access if an associated account is lost. If you wish to transfer ownership, you can do so via the dashboard.

Creating Channel Terms

Each channel admin must develop Terms of Use and a Privacy Policy that accurately reflect their business. However, any terms you create must comply with applicable laws and cannot conflict with Cooee’s Terms of Use. Cooee’s terms will always take precedence if there is any conflict between your terms and ours.

Channel admins must deliver on the products and services they offer. Failure to do so could result in customer complaints, refunds, chargebacks, and possible action from Cooee, including account termination.

Ensuring Compliance

As a Channel Admin, it’s your responsibility to ensure your channel adheres to all relevant legal requirements. For example, if you offer financial courses, you must ensure your business complies with applicable consumer protection laws.

Admins must also enforce Cooee’s policies within their channels, such as removing members who violate our Terms of Use or content guidelines.

Protecting User Privacy

As a Channel Admin, you are responsible for protecting your users’ data and complying with privacy laws. This includes managing personal data you collect through the platform in accordance with Cooee’s Data Processing Agreement and applicable laws. You must notify Cooee if you receive any privacy-related requests that impact data hosted by Cooee.

You are also responsible for creating and maintaining a Privacy Policy for your channel that clearly explains how you collect and use personal data. Cooee’s Privacy Policy will always take precedence over any conflicting terms you set for your channel.

Intellectual Property Protection

Your content is valuable, and Cooee helps you protect it. However, it is your responsibility to monitor for any misuse of your intellectual property. If you discover pirated content on Cooee, we will take action under our DMCA process. For content stolen outside of Cooee, you will need to contact the appropriate parties directly.

Transparent Sales Practices

Sales Page Clarity

Your sales pages must clearly communicate what customers are purchasing, including pricing, how to contact you, refund policies, and other critical terms. Setting clear expectations about your offerings is not only good business but also legally required.

Product Access Duration

When a student purchases a product on Cooee, they do not have a right to access it forever on our servers. Cooee guarantees access for at least 12 months from the purchase date. After that, students will continue to have access as long as they remain active users of the product. Channels with no admin activity and no product use for 12 months will be deleted from our database. This policy ensures that content remains relevant and up to date.

Content Availability & Refunds

You are expected to deliver content as promised and within the timeframe stated on your sales page. If you’re offering pre-sales, you must clearly indicate when the content will be available. Cooee’s standard 14-day refund policy applies unless you’ve received an approved exemption.

Delivering Strong Customer Service

Success on Cooee depends on delivering excellent customer service. Respond promptly to inquiries, resolve disputes with care, and provide your customers with accessible communication channels. This helps build trust and leads to a positive user experience.

Content and Data Management

Backing Up Your Content

Cooee is not a backup service. While we strive to use the best standards available to safeguard all data on our severs through AWS services; ultimately you are responsible for maintaining copies of all content uploaded to the platform, including content managed by other admins in your channel. This helps protect against data loss in case of unforeseen events.

Providing Off-Platform Products and Services

Cooee is designed for hosting and selling courses, events, and resources. If you deliver content outside of Cooee, such as through a third-party service, you must indicate this on your sales page. Please note that Cooee is not required to offer support for off-platform services or custom code integrations.

Responsibilities of Basic Users and Students

Understanding Offerings

As a user or student on Cooee, it is your responsibility to understand the terms of the product you are purchasing, including refund policies, content availability, and the duration of access. If you have questions, your first point of contact should always be the Channel Admin.

Protecting User Privacy

When you enrol in a course or purchase a product on Cooee, your information will be shared with the channel admin for service delivery. Channel admins are responsible for handling your data in compliance with their Privacy Policy. If you have any concerns, please review their policy or contact the admin directly.

Reporting Concerns & Unacceptable Conduct

Reporting Violations

If you encounter any violations of Cooee’s policies or terms by another user or a channel admin, report them to Cooee Support. We will review the issue and take appropriate action, though details of our investigation will remain confidential.

Harassment and Uncivil Conduct

Cooee maintains the right to take action against any conduct or content that is clearly confirmed to promote violence, discrimination, harassment, bullying, or threats. This conduct is prohibited on this platform.
